SCANIA MALAYSIA RELAUNCHES THE ‘FUTURE SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS FUND’ WITH RUMAH KANAK-KANAK SULTANAH HAJJAH KALSOM (RKKSHK)
05 Oct 2024 Scania Malaysia relaunched the ‘Future Sustainability Leaders Fund’ by contributing to the ‘Children Planting the Future’ Programme by Rumah Kanak-Kanak Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom (RKKSHK) in Penor, Kuantan. The programme was launched by Puan Suryani Binti Mohamad, Assistant Director 1, Social Welfare Department of Pahang, witnessed by Puan Murni Azraniza Bt Umar, Headmistress of RKKSHK, Joyce Antar, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia and Wan Noaimadudin Wan Mohamad Kamal, Workshop Manager of Scania Malaysia – Kuantan. The event was attended by the children and teachers of RKKSHK together with staff from Scania Malaysia – Kuantan. -
SCANIA LAUNCHES SUPER TRUCK, NEW BUS GENERATION & DRIVER APP
15 Aug 2024 Scania launched the new Super truck (Super) and New Bus Generation (NBG) that delivers up to 8-9% and more fuel economy together with a new and wide range of digital solutions like Driver App for drivers. These vehicles are also FAME-prepared up to B100 as standard to help reduce CO2 emissions of up to 80% while supporting the national economy and customers’ ESG goals. This customer launch and test & drive’ event was held at Bandar Malaysia to overwhelming endorsements from customers. -
SCANIA DELIVERS FIRST DOUBLE-DECK WITH ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (ADAS) TO SUPER NICE
30 Jul 2024 Scania delivered the first double-deck coach with Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) to Super Nice Express (Super Nice). Ms. Joyce Antar, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia handed the keys to Mr. Roy Chew, Chairman of Super Nice Group. The ceremony was witnessed by Guest-of-Honour YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport, Malaysia (MOT). -

SCANIA WITH B100 BIODIESEL FROM SHELL PROVEN TO BE SUITABLE FOR KPD OPERATIONS AND TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSIONS
21 Jun 2024 Back in November 2023, Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Scania) and Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd (Shell) launched the pilot test of the first pair of Scania road tankers, operated by Konsortium Port Dickson Sdn Bhd (KPD), running solely on B100 Biodiesel. After several months of trial, the results are in: • Confirmed to be reducing carbon emissions by up to 70 percent • Suitable for heavy haulage with adjustment in driving behaviour • No issues with the truck if the vehicle is equipped accordingly • Suitable alternative, considering locally made product • Positive impact on major parts of the supply chain -
SCANIA WITH B100 BIODIESEL FROM PETRONAS PROVEN RELIABLE IN SHAZIMAN OPERATION AND TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSION
21 Jun 2024 Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has announced the results of an eight-month pilot project carried out in conjunction with global energy giant Petronas and bulk petroleum transporter Shaziman Transport (STSB) to measure the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated when using B100 biodiesel compared with standard B10 commercial diesel. The results of the project showed a huge 75% reduction in emissions when using B100 biodiesel, offering significant advantages to fleets in terms of sustainability and no difference in vehicle performance when compared to B10. -

SHELL, KPD AND SCANIA DRIVING THE SHIFT IN REDUCING CO2 EMISSIONS WITH B100 BIODIESEL
30 Nov 2023 Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. (Shell Malaysia) today launched the pilot test of the first pair of Scania road tankers, operated by Konsortium Port Dickson Sdn Bhd (KPD), which will operate using B100 Biodiesel. The launch was held at Stesen Minyak Alisha, Shah Alam, Selangor. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Shairan Huzani Husain, Managing Director, Shell Malaysia's Trading and witnessed by Ms. Heba Eltarifi, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia, Mr. David Lantz, Driving The Shift Director of Scania Southeast Asia and Mr. Richard Tee Chu Wong, Managing Director of Konsortium Port Dickson Sdn Bhd. -
SCANIA MALAYSIA ROLLS OUT THE FIRST NEW BUS GENERATION CHASSIS – A NEW LEVEL OF SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY.
27 Oct 2023 Scania Malaysia rolled out the first New Bus Generation (NBG) chassis from Scania’s Regional Product Centre (RPC) at Port Klang today. The new and improved chassis offers the best in sustainable mobility, profitability, and driver & passenger environment to fleet operators. PERHILITAN TAKES DELIVERY OF THEIR FIRST SCANIA XT TRUCK FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ENDANGERED ELEPHANTS IN TOUGH AND CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS
20 Oct 2023 Scania marks a momentous occasion by handing over a Scania XT truck to The Department of Wildlife and National Parks of Peninsular Malaysia (PERHILITAN). PERHILITAN’s first Scania XT truck will support their mission of safely transporting wild elephants in their conservation efforts. Paulo Leite, Chief Financial Officer of Scania Southeast Asia, hands over the keys to the XT truck to Dato’ Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim, Director General of the Department of Wildlife Protection and National Parks. -
STARRTREK CAPTURES THE TOP THREE WINS IN SCANIA’S ‘A GOOD DRIVER’ COMPETITION
04 Aug 2023 Starrtrek Carriers Sdn Bhd scores all three wins for Scania’s ‘A Good Driver’ (AGD) Competition 2021/2022 truck category and is the best ‘A Good Company’ (AGC). All three winners capitalised on the Scania Ecolution Fleet Management System (FMS) Control 1 training to score these top three spots by achieving the best fuel economy and CO2 emissions reduction. They were recognised at Starrtrek’s facility in Puncak Alam. Muhammad Rifaie Abdul Rahman of Starrtrek Carriers received the recognition of the best AGC from Daniel Tan, Solution Sales Director of Scania Southeast Asia. -
