WARISAN EXPRESS (M) SDN BHD STRENGTHENS ITS SUSTAINABLE PARTNERSHIP WITH SCANIA WITH THE NEW BUS GENERATION

Today we witness another remarkable sustainable partnership strengthened between Scania and Warisan Express (M) Sdn Bhd with the handover of one unit of Scania K360CB4X2NB New Bus Generation and one unit of Scania K320CB4X2NB New Bus Generation together with Scania Financial Services at Scania Malaysia, Bukit Jelutong.

 

Gracing the ceremony today was Tan Sri Dr M Kayveas, Advisor of Warisan Express, Datuk Simon Dass, Advisor of Warisan Express, Mr. Yip Chee Meng, Director of Warisan Express, Mr. Rex Lim, Director of Warisan Express, Ms Joyce Antar, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia, Mr Shahril Othman, Solution Sales Director Buses and Coaches of Scania Southeast Asia, Mr. Anson Phua, Country Manager of Scania Credit Malaysia and Singapore, management, and staff of Warisan Express and Scania Malaysia.

 

“When we first started with Scania Classic and Maintenance Contracts for our twelve Scania coach units, we were certain that this would be a long-term collaboration as the contracts increased our uptime and profitability,” said Mr Rex Lim, Director of Warisan Express. "As of today, our Scania fleet has grown to a total number of fourteen units." he added.

 

Compared to the previous generation, the new generation Scania coaches can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 9%, without compromising on performance. This is achieved through a number of features, with the most significant savings coming from improved engine efficiency. The new Euro 5 engine can save up to 7% depending on engine size and vehicle configuration and usage, while Scania’s enhanced gearbox range and Scania Cruise Control with Active Prediction also contribute to further savings.

 

Electronic Braking System (EBS) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control and Lane Departure Warning are now standard on all Scania New Bus Generation.

 

“Our top priorities have always been the safety and comfort of our drivers and passengers, and the Scania New Bus Generation’s standard safety features allows us to do this,” stated Mr Rex.

 

The remarkable design of the front and rear suspension coupled with Scania’s smooth and efficient gearbox provides Warisan Express’s customers with a comfortable passenger experience.

The Scania New Bus Generation also comes inclusive of 2-year maintenance plan covering up to 69 checkpoints.
