05 Oct 2024 Scania Malaysia relaunched the ‘Future Sustainability Leaders Fund’ by contributing to the ‘Children Planting the Future’ Programme by Rumah Kanak-Kanak Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom (RKKSHK) in Penor, Kuantan. The programme was launched by Puan Suryani Binti Mohamad, Assistant Director 1, Social Welfare Department of Pahang, witnessed by Puan Murni Azraniza Bt Umar, Headmistress of RKKSHK, Joyce Antar, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia and Wan Noaimadudin Wan Mohamad Kamal, Workshop Manager of Scania Malaysia – Kuantan. The event was attended by the children and teachers of RKKSHK together with staff from Scania Malaysia – Kuantan. -
SCANIA LAUNCHES SUPER TRUCK, NEW BUS GENERATION & DRIVER APP
15 Aug 2024 Scania launched the new Super truck (Super) and New Bus Generation (NBG) that delivers up to 8-9% and more fuel economy together with a new and wide range of digital solutions like Driver App for drivers. These vehicles are also FAME-prepared up to B100 as standard to help reduce CO2 emissions of up to 80% while supporting the national economy and customers’ ESG goals. This customer launch and test & drive’ event was held at Bandar Malaysia to overwhelming endorsements from customers. -

30 Jul 2024 Scania delivered the first double-deck coach with Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) to Super Nice Express (Super Nice). Ms. Joyce Antar, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia handed the keys to Mr. Roy Chew, Chairman of Super Nice Group. SCANIA WITH B100 BIODIESEL FROM SHELL PROVEN TO BE SUITABLE FOR KPD OPERATIONS AND TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSIONS
21 Jun 2024 Back in November 2023, Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Scania) and Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd (Shell) launched the pilot test of the first pair of Scania road tankers, operated by Konsortium Port Dickson Sdn Bhd (KPD), running solely on B100 Biodiesel. After several months of trial, the results are in: • Confirmed to be reducing carbon emissions by up to 70 percent • Suitable for heavy haulage with adjustment in driving behaviour • No issues with the truck if the vehicle is equipped accordingly • Suitable alternative, considering locally made product • Positive impact on major parts of the supply chain -
SCANIA WITH B100 BIODIESEL FROM PETRONAS PROVEN RELIABLE IN SHAZIMAN OPERATION AND TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSION
21 Jun 2024 Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has announced the results of an eight-month pilot project carried out in conjunction with global energy giant Petronas and bulk petroleum transporter Shaziman Transport (STSB) to measure the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated when using B100 biodiesel compared with standard B10 commercial diesel. The results of the project showed a huge 75% reduction in emissions when using B100 biodiesel, offering significant advantages to fleets in terms of sustainability and no difference in vehicle performance when compared to B10.
