Joint activities strengthen the group

On several levels, Logistics Development at Scania Oskarshamn works to strengthen the team spirit in the group.
- We have fun together and everyone feels safe with each other. We create that security by doing activities together even in our spare time, says Logistics Technician Jennifer Nord.
Logistics Development at Scania Oskarshamn has 21 employees, divided into three areas. A strong focus in the team is on creating good well-being, security and a good working environment for everyone.
- We work a lot with the results of our employee survey and make an activity list. We look at how we are doing, what we are doing well and what we should continue to work on and develop.
Respect for each other
To focus on equality, inclusion and diversity, the Inclusion Game is used, which is a game developed at Scania to focus on creating dialogue about inclusion.
- We plan and do activities at regular intervals. It's good for keeping the dialogue alive. In our department, we have long focused on respect and we treat each other in a precise way, says Maryana.
The Inclusion Game gets discussions and dialogue started on various issues.
- It's a good material for discussing issues of gender equality, inclusion and diversity from different perspectives, how to interpret different events can open new eyes, says Logistics Developer Rickard Bengzon.
Inclusion also includes everyone in the teams participating in improvement work. To get in as a new member of the group, a good introduction is also important.
- We have an introduction program that we follow when we get new employees so that they can quickly get into the work in our department and become part of us, says Maryana.
Open feedback climate
An open feedback climate creates security.
- If I've made a presentation, it's valuable to get feedback on whether I've done the right thing or if something can be improved. It is important to feel that you have the entire department behind you, it creates security and strengthens the team spirit, says Rickard.
Together with Scania Oskarshamn's Business Psychologist, the feedback work is being developed.
- It's a lot about constructive criticism in order to develop in one's work. To become better and more receptive by working together and getting help from your colleagues, says Maryana.
Celebrating success
Logistics Development also has "brain-friendly" activities to strengthen the group.
- We have cognitive training, also called brain training. It is a methodology for taking care of ourselves in the best way. Through regular exercises, we maintain and improve our cognitive ability, says Maryana.
One example is to add breaks between meetings to allow the brain to recover for a while.
- We also book time in our calendars for reflection time on the job done, says Logistics Developer Marcus von Kiöhling.
- We celebrate successes in our projects. When we are done with a project, we invite everyone in the group, present the results and share knowledge and experience, Maryana continues.
Activities together
Logistics Development also has wellness activities.
- We are active in Scania Oskarshamn's Health Challenge (various activities that the Occupational Health Service organizes during the year) and inspire each other. It can be anything from taking long walks to playing padel or having a yoga session, says Logistics Technician Avdo Hodzic.
Participation in activities outside work is very high.
- We have 90-95 percent participation in everything we do. The fact that everyone contributes and is involved is positive for the entire department, says Maryana.
- We have fun together, Jennifer continues. We have been on a salmon hike in the Emån, lamb safari, we have lunch in town sometimes, have a summer party and a padel group, bowling and have spinning and more.
The next step is to work more with the physical office environment at Logistics Development.
- We have ordered a desk bike. Since we sit a lot in our work, it is a good way to be active, for example in digital meetings. It is important that we take care of our health. Even minor measures help to improve and maintain our health, Avdo concludes.
