Electrification – a shared journey
Successful electrification requires strategic partnerships. Watch our film to learn how Electrolux, logistics company Gruber and Scania came together for a common goal: a more sustainable future.
“Collaboration is key.” “It’s not a path that we can walk alone.” When it comes to electrification, the messages from Electrolux Group, and Gruber Logistics could not be any clearer.
In cooperation with Scania Italy these two companies – one a multinational home appliance giant, the other an international logistics business based in Northern Italy - have taken a strategic approach to speed up their deployment of electric vehicles.
Electrification – a key towards decarbonisation
Marcelo Café Marcal, Logistics Purchasing Director at Business Area Europe within the Electrolux Group, says his company is investing in its own charging stations, to allow its suppliers to charge their vehicles while they are loading and unloading at our docks.
“In the end, this will promote the development of this technology,” says Marcal says in the accompanying film.
Andrea Condotta, Senior Manager for Public Affairs, Innovation and Sustainability at Gruber Logistics, says his company sees electrification as key to Gruber’s process towards decarbonisation.
“It’s always a matter of people and their willingness to change. And I think that with Electrolux and Scania, we found the same spirit that we have internally in our organisation. We don’t want to wait for others to define our future,” he says.
