Scania's legendary V8s have topped road haulier's wish lists for more than 50 years now, and Scania is proud to remain at the technological forefront of high-output V8 engines. Remarkably powerful and efficient, the latest breed of Scania V8 engines are two percent more fuel-efficient than their predecessors.
Despite their massive power and torque outputs, a Scania V8 drivetrain can still represent a sustainable vehicle choice: When mated with the new G33CM gearbox and faster rear axles, fuel savings of six percent are possible versus the previous generation. In addition, all V8s can run on HVO without any additional modification, whilst the 590 hp engine can be prepared to run on biodiesel.

Interior design
