Start your career at Scania

Scania has a successful tradition of working with high school, college and university students and offers various opportunities.

Let's start the journey together!

Student programmes
Primary- and High School

Scania works with various activities together with high schools and technical colleges to create a better relationship and to create an interest in technology and industry among students. We also want the decision-makers in the school system to have an even better understanding of how development is progressing and what types of skills will be needed in the future. We also want to show our different ways into Scania and how we work with Scania's production system, SPS.

Scania Oskarshamn has together with Oscarsgymnasiet (upper high school in Oskarshamn) produced a film to spark interest for the technology industry. In the film, Nellie and Anton tell why they applied for the Industrial Engineering program and what it means to do an internship at a workplace. Erik Karlsson, who completed the Natural Sciences program, also gives an insight into future opportunities at Scania if you have a technical education.

Colleges and universities

Scania Oskarshamn collaborates with about ten universities and colleges in order to market Scania as an attractive employer, as well as to attract students to apply for Scania's student and graduate programs and available jobs. You can meet us on student event days or when we come and give a lecture on site or digitally. We also accept study visits as far as we can.

Partnerships

Universities of applied sciences

Scania collaborates with a number of universities of applied sciences in Sweden. Many vocational trainings contain one or more LIA periods (Learning by the Job), which means that part of the training is placed in a workplace. The purpose of LIA is for the students to learn and use their knowledge in a real working environment. As far as we can, Scania Oskarshamn accepts students who need to do their LIA in order to get passing grades.
