Axles, doors, lengths
The low decker Scania Interlink is available in several variants, enabling it to meet different operational requirements.
Heights
The height of the Scania Interlink is dependent on the choice of propulsion, with gas tanks and electric components positioned on the roof.
3.31 m (diesel, biodiesel, LBG/LNG)
3.53 m (hybrid)
3.64 m (CBG/CNG)
Floor level
The bus has good accessibility for all passengers, with a floor without steps throughout the aisle. Which can be reached via few steps when boarding. There is also the possibility to fit a wheel chair lift at middle doors.
The higher floor improves passenger comfort, view and option for luggage space.
Design features
The low decker Scania Interlink meets the needs of operators. With total design and production control over the chassis and powertrain, Scania delivers unrivalled reliability, durability and performance.
Specification flexibility
The Scania Interlink offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of vehicle cut-to-length, interior layout, classification, and more.
In addition, the hybrid and wide range of renewable fuel options can cut CO2 emissions by up to 90 %.
Safety features
Scania buses have advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including vulnerable road user collision warning, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, attention support, and advanced emergency brake. Further, electro-pneumatic parking brake technology avoids unintentional bus motion and thus potential accidents. Through reinforced body and chassis construction, our buses are built to protect passengers, drivers and sensitive components. Along with Scania Zone – which ensures speed regulation compliance – this all helps to avoid accidents. And downtime.
Driver area
Offers excellent ergonomics through all-angle step-less seat adjustments, adjustable instrument panel, flexible switch placement etc. A lower instrument panel, slimmer A- and B-pillars, lower side window and larger front window and other features increases visibility. The buses have excellent drivability with a great turning radius, advanced driver assistance systems, and improved assisted handling, steering and braking. Also, they have increased safety, better climate system and good noise and vibration reduction.
Chassis and powertrain
With improved engine and gearbox efficiency, it offers fuel savings of up to 8 %, with stop/start and cruise control functions contributing to further reductions in emissions and cost.
Other chassis improvements include a 500 kilo increase in load capacity on the front axle and an independent front suspension that improves ride comfort.
Interior design
The new interior creates a more attractive passenger environment, boosting the appeal of public transport. Light colours on the ceiling and side panels, and transparent luggage racks creates a bright and spacious feeling. Together with sound absorbent materials contributing to a pleasant and quiet environment for both driver and passengers.
Exterior design
The new modern and sophisticated exterior design of Scania Interlink signals innovation, quality and forward thinking. It has a minimalist shape, stylish style on the sides with windows all the way down to the boot lid. Combined with roof protection for components such as AC units, gas tanks and battery packs. New headlight options for better visibility and with the option of having extra LED headlights and cornering lights for increased visibility for the driver.
