Industrial Batteries
Scania (Great Britain) Limited produce Lead, Lithium and Nickel Metal Hydride industrial batteries in accordance to the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009.
We take back waste industrial batteries supplied to an end user for treatment and recycling free of charge. We are required to do this in any calendar year that we place new industrial batteries on the market.
If any of our customers – or other end users – would like us to take back industrial batteries, they are advised to contact their local Scania dealership. Details of Scania dealer locations can be found here: www.scania.co.uk/dealer. We will then agree the necessary arrangements for the appropriate return, treatment and recycling of waste industrial batteries.
Automotive batteries
Scania (Great Britain) Limited produce automotive batteries in accordance to the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009.
We collect waste automotive batteries free of charge and within a reasonable time for treatment and recycling from final holders. Examples of these include garages, scrap yards, end of life vehicle Authorised Treatment Facilities and Civic Amenity Sites. We are required to do this in any calendar year that we place new industrial batteries on the market.
