Kidderminster-based Woodstones Coaches has taken delivery of an Irizar i4 built on Scania’s latest KNI360 generation chassis. The new vehicle comes with 57 reclining seats, climate control air conditioning and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels. It is also built to full PSVAR specification which includes a wheelchair lift and destination signs. -

Scania is introducing Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) trucks that can be fitted with different powertrain and charging options, thus offering solutions that can fulfil various demands for applications. A new electric machine, GE281, works in tandem with a Scania seven or nine-litre combustion engine, providing unique opportunities for creating fossil-free transport solutions for heavy trucks with demanding bodywork. -

Lloyds Coaches has taken delivery of three used Scania coaches, the first to enter service with the Machynlleth, mid-Wales based company. Equipped with Irizar i6 bodies, the purchase follows on from the successful trial of Scania's demonstration vehicle by Lloyds Coaches at the end of 2019 which generated a great deal of positive feedback from the company's customers. -

The UK has been chosen for the global launch of Scania's new Fencer bus range, the first model of which is the Fencer f1, a single deck, fully built-up bus. The vehicle, which is the first complete Scania single deck bus to be released in the UK for ten years, will subsequently be introduced to many other markets worldwide and will form the basis of a new platform of sustainable Scania buses going forward. -

Limited. The vehicle joins the Scania G 450 8x4 tipper which Father & Daughter has operated since it was purchased new in 2018. -
James Armstrong is appointed as Managing Director of Scania (Great Britain) Ltd
Scania Great Britain Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of James Armstrong as its new Managing Director. James will succeed Martin Hay who leaves the business at the end of June. James will officially take up this post on 1st July 2021.
