KKKL Travel & Tours becomes the first bus operator in Singapore to sign Scania Ecolution with the aim to reduce more carbon footprint
KKKL Travel & Tours today became the first bus operator in Singapore to sign the Ecolution agreement with Scania. The signing was held at Scania’s Senoko office between Mr Yee Hon Ve, Executive Director of KKKL Travel & Tours and Mr Oscar Wyckman, Country Manager of Scania Singapore, witnessed by Mr Aron Lai, Solution Sales Executive, Mr Rajakumar Murugaiyan, Workshop Manager & Mr Kamaru Zaman, Service Sales Manager of Scania Singapore.
“We started with Euro 3 chassis and have steadily upgraded to the latest Euro 6, New Bus Generation. Throughout this process, we've consistently aligned our fleet improvements with the company’s commitment to sustainability,” said Mr Yee. “We believe that Scania plays a crucial role in helping us achieve these goals, therefore by signing this Ecolution agreement, we are committed towards continually reducing carbon emissions and improve fuel efficiency to meet our ESG goals.”
Scania Ecolution is a tailor-made partnership between Scania and its customers, focused on continuously optimising fuel efficiency. This partnership not only helps reduce CO2 emissions, supporting the sustainability goals of both the company and its customers, but also lowers operating costs and improves margins.
Throughout this partnership, both parties will set fuel and CO2 reduction targets. The customer will use Scania’s total solutions to optimise each vehicle's performance, with their progress being regularly monitored, evaluated, and discussed to ensure the desired outcomes.
“At Scania, we believe that sustainability and profitability can go hand-in-hand. We are glad that KKKL is joining us on this journey towards a more sustainable transport system,” said Mr Oscar. “While the Scania buses are already fuel-efficient, especially those from the new generation, we aim to help them further reduce emissions through Scania Ecolution by optimising both vehicle performance and driver behavior.”
KKKL Travel & Tours committed seven Scania buses, including two from the New Bus Generation that already offers up to 6% fuel savings, to the Scania Ecolution programme. Adding this partnership to the five-year Repair and Maintenance contracts signed back in September 2024, KKKL will be able to enjoy the best of both Scania Ecolution and Scania Digital Services. Aligning with their ESG goals, the use of tools and services such as My Scania portal and Fleet app will allow KKKL to seamlessly achieve both sustainability and profitability, all at their fingertips.
