Design features

The high floor Scania K-chassis meet the needs of urban operations on every continent. Fully designed and produced in-house, it is as energy-efficient as it is reliable and durable, making it the ideal bus platform.

Quality chassis frame

The front axle, in combination with the ability to use wide tyres, enables a load capacity of 8 tonnes. This allows high passenger capacity and optimised weight distribution between the front and rear axles. Additionally, chassis weight is kept down without compromising robustness, contributing to low energy consumption.

Advanced powertrain technology

The dependable, durable and robust powertrain enables highly energy-efficient operations, and the cruise control with active prediction and pulse and glide functions contribute to further savings.

Low-emission fuel options

Scania buses can run on several renewable and commercially viable fuels – biogas (CBG/LBG), biodiesel/FAME and HVO – catering to varying market prerequisites. While Scania addresses emissions from all angles, running the vehicle on renewable fuels can alone offer CO2 savings of up to 90 %.

Safety in focus

Scania´s wide range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) supports the driver, whether on the open highway or in busy city environments. The various functions increase road safety by keeping the driver alert and the vehicle in the right position, while also controlling the speed and distance from other road users.

A first-class driving experience

An overall well-balanced vehicle, a powerful and reliable powertrain, good visibility, and a great turning radius make for excellent drivability. Additionally, the advanced driver assistance systems enhance control through assisted steering and braking, with high levels of ergonomics and comfort, the digital interface, and the overall quality feel further adding to the driving experience.

Unrivalled uptime

Well-designed and built on proven technology and components, the Scania K-chassis are both dependable and robust. Safety systems and digital services help prevent accidents, and sensitive and expensive components are protected in the event of a collision, avoiding costly and time-consuming repairs. Uptime services help minimise downtime and, when needed, remote diagnostics and excellent parts availability can rapidly get the bus back on the road.
