The main responsibility of the Power Solution Director is to develop and grow the Engine Sales at the Business Unit including product management and application engineering. Provide support to key customers and dealers and thereby maximize customer and employee satisfaction and loyalty as well as business performance contributing to the profitable growth of Scania. The Power Solution Director is responsible to develop and implement a Power Solutions Sales, Product and Application strategy based on the overall Market and Business Plan for the BU to ensure a successful accomplishment of the short-, medium- and long term targets. This requires an efficient and frequent interaction Sales & Marketing (KE), other SCN
departments, Key Account customers and the dealer network.
Professional Competencies (Duties and Tasks)
- Develop and implement the Business Unit sales strategy - Define and continually develop the sales strategy for the Business Unit also ensuring implementation and follow up
- Implement and foster a customer first mind set in the entire organization. Lead by example
- Develop and implement a Power Solutions Sales, Product and Application strategy based on the overall Market and Business Plan for the BU
- Take responsibility for Business Plan development and implementation
- Set Sales and Application plans, forecasts, objectives and targets
- Identify new business opportunities
- Ensure the PS department develops and promotes Scania products and services to new and existing customers
- Ensure the PS department builds and develops customer relationships with Sales & Marketing, within the Business Unit and the Dealer network
- Drive Application work and support Sales, KA and Dealers with technical product expertise
- Represent the Sales area in the senior management team, actively participating and contributing to general business improvements
- Collect sales data to create forecasts and action plans for sales strategies and lead time
- Ensure that relevant financial and statistical reports are compiled, analysed for further improvements
- Monitor market and competitor activity, trends and demands
- Develop new business and commercial models in close cooperation with KE
- Operations Management - Develop, manage and follow up the Power Solutions operations
- Ensure Power Solutions Business Process in China are well defined, documented and implemented across SCN, KE and the Dealer network
- Promote and encourage a result and customer oriented mind-set in the teams
- Empower and motivate teams to reach targets
- Identify deviations and generate appropriate action plans
- Implement and develop structured sales
- Lead department meetings and proactively coordinate cross-functional Power Solutions work with other departments
- Engage actively in management team meetings
- Conduct and act upon P&D talks, competence and performance management, succession planning and employee satisfaction surveys
- Visit dealers and workshops regularly for development and follow up
- Regularly interact and engage with external stake holders such as but not limited to customers, dealers and partners
- Systemize improvement work according to the Scania way (SRS) - Set agenda for standardized work methods and improvement activities and manage resources within the same department and cross-functional improvement activities

- Follow up on Improvement activities and goals in connection to the business objectives
- Ensure transfer of best practice between teams within the same department and between departments
- Apply systematic management (setting measurable targets, secure resources, set standards, follow-up, implement learning loop)
- Set a lean strategy (linked to business needs) for whole the operation
