Corporate Communications Manager - Scania Local Project

A brief summary of the provided position as below:

The Corporate Communications Manager will play a critical role in shaping the company’s brand narrative and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders while leading our dynamic communications team. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the company’s reputation internally and externally, managing all aspects of internal and external communications, public relations initiatives, and event management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with the company’s objectives and values
  • Lead the development of messaging frameworks and communication guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels
  • Identify emerging trends, issues and opportunities to proactively shape the company’s narrative and reputation
  • Create internal communication channels, including newsletters and intranet to foster transparency and engagement
  • Collaborate with senior managers to cascade organizational messages and initiatives effectively
  • Work closely with the Group Communications for high level messaging alignment and implementation
  • Implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications and continuously improve strategies
  • Lead media relations efforts, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry analysts
  • Develop and distribute press releases, articles, and thought leadership pieces to enhance the company’s visibility and thought leadership
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the company, handling media inquiries and interview opportunities
  • Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns to promote key initiatives and products
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop appropriate responses
  • Manage crisis communications efforts and serve as a primary point of contact for crisis situations
  • Oversees the planning and execution of corporate events, including product launches press conferences, trade shows and industry events
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure execution of events, including logistics, content development, and post event evaluation
  • Identity opportunities to leverage events for media coverage and stakeholder engagement
  • Actively work and support projects but not limited in the JD

 

Experience & Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience leading and developing high performance teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with business objectives
  • Proven experience in media relations, crisis communications, and event management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with communication tools and platforms
  • Fluent in oral and written English
