Job Type: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00 and alternate Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00, Full-time, Permanent

Your role would be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the Parts/Service reception, working within a strong team environment and delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers by way of exceptional communication.

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Ensure a steady and realistic flow of available workshop throughput
  • Support and maintain customer’s service schedules , MOT and O licence requirements
  • Provision of basic advise and estimates to customers
  • Audit job cards (work orders) and associated service documentation for accuracy and adherence to internal and external procedures
  • Ensure service / inspection documentation are correctly completed and customer defect procedures adhered to
  • Check and issue sublet order numbers to specialist and external agents and arrange/plan such works required
  • Assist in maintaining a daily flow of quality job cards to administration for costing / invoicing
  • Run back counter
  • Pick and deliver correct parts to workshop on time
  • Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc
  • Work together with the workshop and other departments
  • Return warranty and service exchange units regularly
  • Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any problems
  • Stock management and control in a cost effective manner
  • Department housekeeping
  • Parts ordering
  • Liaise with supplier/customers/colleagues in a professional manner
  • Chase supplier credits
  • Ensure health and safety and safe work principles are met at all times within this position’s working environment
  • Other duties as requested by management

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Scania parts and systems (desired)
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and administrative skills
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Technical awareness of motor vehicles
  • Ability to work as a team player within a busy department
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adhere to strict guidelines
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • PC literate - knowledge of ADP desired 
  • Detail oriented with excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work calmly in a pressured environment with a solution driven approach
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
