Overview
The HGV Driver is responsible for the movement of Company and Customer vehicles across the Company network. Ensuring an efficient operation through high standards of housekeeping, customer communication and movement, and maintenance of vehicles.
essential duties and job responsibilities
- Check in Courtesy cars and check general condition, oil and water etc.
- Deal with Customer’s parking Vehicles in the correct manner
- Oversee Health & Safety regulations and ensure safe working practices are adhered to
- Collection and delivery of customers vehicles
- Present vehicles for MOT inspections
- Other duties as specified by the Manager
- Delivering vehicles to customer premises and Company branches
- Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- General knowledge of the Industry
- Experienced HGV driver
- Current HGV driving licence
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of current DVSA practices
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
- Solution driven approach
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
