Overview

Apply today to work amongst our existing team at our new state-of the-art bodyshop. Your role is responsible for the preparation of bodywork for damaged vehicles, trailers and new vehicles.

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Carry out damage repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA road worthiness standard, which may include:
    • Strip and fit
    • Panel repairs
    • Preparation
    • Fabrication and welding
    • Assist with estimating process
  • Support with the preparation of new vehicles pre and post delivery
  • Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
  • Liaise with the parts department to attain parts
  • Ensure appropriate clocking is made and all job cards are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses as required
  • Adhere to environment guidelines and ensure all substances, spillages and waste are addressed in the correct manner
  • Ensure all work undertaken is in line with the site permit conditions
  • Other duties as specified by the Depot Manager

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical qualification (City and Guilds level 3 / NVQ)
  • Current driving licence
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a solution-driven approach
  • Ability to work within guidelines and to strict deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
  • HGV licence (desired but not essential)
