FAULT CODES IN THE VEHICLE?

The vehicle diagnostics systems are used to: Read and erase fault codes in the vehicle, adjust software in the vehicle when a part has been changed and more.

 

Scania diagnostic tools

Diagnostic tools supplied from Scania

Scania diagnose and programmer 3 workshop RMI is our main diagnostic tool. With this tool you can connect with 3-series trucks and buses up to 6 series trucks and busses.

To run the tool you need:

  • a standard PC, see technical requirements in TIS

  • the SDP3 software that you can download from TIS

  • a licence key that can be purchased and downloaded from TIS

  • a vehicle communication interface, VCI. You can purchase a Scania VCI from any Scania dealer

 

Note, the licence key is connected to your computer, this means that the first time you download a key there will be a licence key created on your computer and thereafter you only need to purchase extra time to the key/PC.

 

SWS will gradually replace SDP3. With SWS you can connect to 5-series trucks and busses up to latest model. In order to run SWS you will need a WCU or a Remote box in addition to the VCI. Please refer to the manuals for SWS in TIS to learn more.

 

Note: For Cyber secure vehicles SWS is the primary diagnostic tool as well as for Security related RMI.

 

BST

Is our diagnostic tool for Omni City, Omni Link and Citywide bus bodies (SDP3 is used for the chassis).

BST can be used on Omni City, Omni Link and Citywide bodies produced 2010 and later.

To run the tool you need:

  • a standard PC, see technical requirements in TIS

  • the BST software that you can download from TIS

  • a licence key that can be purchased and downloaded from TIS

  • a vehicle communication interface, VCI. You can purchase a Scania VCI from any Scania dealer

 

Note, the licence key is connected to your computer, this means that the first time you download a key there will be a licence key created on your computer and thereafter you only need to purchase extra time to the key/PC.

Canela+

Is our diagnostic tool for Omni Express and Scania Touring bus bodies (SDP3 is used for the chassis).

Canela+ can be used on Omni Express bodies produced 2011 and later and can be used on Scania Touring bus bodies assembled on a Scania chassis with a Euro VI engines.

To run the tool you need:

  • a standard PC, se technical requirements in TIS

  • the Canela+ software that you can download from TIS

  • a vehicle communication interface, VCI. You can purchase a Scania VCI from any Scania dealer

Vehicle Communication Interface

The "cable" between the PC and the vehicle

You need a Vehicle Communication Interface, VCI, to complete your diagnostic equipment.

To run Scania Diagnostic tools (SDP3, BST and Canela+) you can purchase a VCI from any Scania dealer or use a ISO 22900-2 compatible VCI.

 

To run Scania diagnostic tool SWS you can purchase a Scania VCI or use a SAE J2534 compatible VCI and lease a WCU or a Remote box.
