“Partnerships vital for electrified heavy vehicles to take off”

Scania has several ongoing projects that involve electrified trucks and buses. Collaboration with legislators, infrastructure suppliers, grid builders and electricity companies is essential for electrification to take off.
In June 2016, the world’s first electrified public road was inaugurated in Sweden. Here, Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt, who leads Scania’s research into electrification technology, elaborates on the project. Vågstedt also highlights the rationale for electrification and Scania’s efforts in this field.
