The recruitment process
Welcome to the first stages of your journey towards joining the Scania family!
As a global company, our recruitment process may vary slightly depending on the role you're applying for, but here's a general overview of what to expect. The full recruitment process typically takes around 4-6 weeks from our first contact, depending on the role. After reviewing your application, we'll inform you of your next steps.
1. Create a profile and sign up for job alerts
Begin by filling in your contact details and creating your account. Your profile will be saved for future applications, and you can always update it later. Choose whether you want to be visible only for the specific role you're applying for or for other opportunities at Scania. Opting for visibility in other job openings allows us to match you to suitable positions.
Sign up for job alerts to stay informed about future openings.
2. Upload your CV
Keep your resume specific, and clear—aim for a maximum of two pages. Please note that you do not need to add a photo and personal details as this is not relevant in our assessment criteria.
3. Screening process
Some applications may include additional questions related to the specific job and based on competences. Certain positions may also require a case interview or assessment. In some recruitments, we use assessment tools
4. Request support if needed
If you need any extra support to prepare for your interview, please reach out to the responsible Talent Acquisition Partner. We are committed to ensuring everyone feels included and supported throughout the application process.
5. Let´s meet
Prepare for one to three competency-based interviews with the recruiter, hiring manager, and sometimes a senior management representative. These interviews focus on specific examples from your past experiences to demonstrate various skills and behaviours. We prioritize diversity and inclusivity in our hiring process, ensuring that questions about age, gender, and background are irrelevant.
6. Reference & background check
At the end of the recruitment process, we may request references and conduct background checks for some positions.
Welcome to Scania!
The final step is introducing you to your future team and discussing the formalities of joining Scania, including start dates, salaries, and relocation packages if applicable.
